Top 10 Most Expensive Cars
Koenigsegg CCXR Trevita
It’s tough not to be envious of Floyd Mayweather’s extraordinary collection of exotic supercars, especially when he recently boasted about buying not one, but two LaFerraris for himself. The legendary boxer is also known for possessing multiple Bugatti Veyrons, but his most pricey car is a 2010 Koenigsegg CCXR Trevita, which he acquired for $4.8 million and is one of just two in the world. It’s presently on the market for a new affluent owner, since it’s up for auction.
Only Mayweather’s CCXR Trevita was built for the United States. Its stunning “Diamond Weave” carbon fiber body “really shines like millions of gorgeous diamonds” when exposed to sunlight, making it stand out. Originally, Koenigsegg planned to create three CCXR Trevitas (Trevita is a Swedish acronym for “three whites”), but the complicated production process of the Diamond Weave body proved too difficult to reproduce, and only two were made, making it one of the most sought-after Koenigseggs ever. The CCXR Trevita also includes a twin carbon rear wing and a removable hardtop that can be put in the front trunk, making it a convertible.
A innovative six-speed transverse gearbox and a torque-sensitive limited-slip differential power the unusual Swedish hypercar’s 4.8-liter V8 all-aluminum engine with two superchargers, which provides an amazing 1,018 horsepower and 796 lb-ft of torque. With a weight of only 2,821 pounds (1,280 kilograms), performance is astounding to say the least: 0-62 mph takes 2.9 seconds, 0-124 mph takes 8.7 seconds, and the peak speed is approximately 250 mph. Carbon ceramic brakes on the front and rear axles deliver equally devastating stopping force. 0-186-0 mph takes just 25.5 seconds, whereas 0-124-0 mph takes 13 seconds.
Mayweather’s CCXR will be auctioned off by Mecum Auctions in Monterey from August 16th through August 19th. There’s no way of knowing how much it’ll go for, but considering its rarity, celebrity connection, and low 1,947 kilometers, don’t be shocked if it ends up being the most expensive Koenigsegg ever sold at auction. It’s not every day that you get the chance to acquire one of the world’s rarest hypercars.
Lamborghini Veneno
To mark Lamborghini’s 50th anniversary, the Veneno was designed with the one-of-a-kind Egoista concept car. With a price tag of US$4.5 million when it was revealed at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show, the Veneno was one of the most expensive production vehicles in the world. The Veneno, which was based on the Aventador, was limited to only five units: one for factory testing, one for Lamborghini, and three for customers. Nine extra examples were made as roadster variants. Car Zero is painted in Grigio Estoque and boasts a vinyl Italian flag on both sides.
Due to the employment of bigger air intakes and a redesigned exhaust system, the Veneno’s 6.5 L (6,498 cc; 396.5 cu in) L539 V12 has been adapted from the Aventador, delivering 740 horsepower (552 kW) at 8,400 rpm with a higher redline. At 5,500 rpm, it still generates 509 ftlb (690 Nm) of torque. A seven-speed single-clutch ISR semi-automatic gearbox, identical to the one used in the Aventador, transfers power to all four wheels.
With a dry weight of 3197 lb (1450 kg) and a maximum curb weight of 3810 lb, the Veneno is up to 275 lb (125 kg) lighter than the standard Aventador (1728 kg) (1728 kg). The Veneno has a maximum power-to-weight ratio of 510 horsepower (380 kW) per tonne as a result of this.
The Veneno can accelerate from 0 to 60 miles per hour (97 kilometers per hour) in 2.7 seconds, from 100 miles per hour (161 kilometers per hour) in 5.8 seconds, and reach a peak speed of 221 miles per hour (356 kilometers per hour) (356 kilometers per hour). While cornering, it also produces 1.41 lateral Gs.
W Motors Lykan Hypersport
The Lykan Hypersport is a Lebanese limited-production hypercar built by W Motors, a United Arab Emirates-based corporation that was founded in Lebanon in 2012 with the support of Lebanese, French, and Italian engineers. It is the first supercar from the Middle East.
The RUF-developed 3.7 L (3,746 cc) twin-turbocharged flat-six engine develops 780 horsepower (582 kW) and 708 ftlb (960 Nm) of torque in the Lykan HyperSport. The automobile is supposed to have a peak speed of 245 mph (395 km/h) and a 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) time of 2.8 seconds. The Abu Dhabi police force bought a Lykan HyperSport in June 2015.
The Lykan HyperSport is the world’s third most expensive production contemporary automobile, after the Lamborghini Veneno Roadster ($4.6 million) and Maybach Excelero ($8 million). The Lykan HyperSport is also the first automobile to include diamonds and jewels in its headlights, with 420 15-carat diamonds set in titanium LED blades, though purchasers can choose between rubies, diamonds, yellow diamonds, and sapphires to be set in the vehicle’s headlights based on color preference. The car also contains a holographic display system with interactive motion elements on the center console, as well as gold stitching on the seats.
The pre-production car debuted at the Qatar Motor Show in 2013. Only seven units were made by W Motors.
The W Motors Fenyr SuperSport, the Lykan’s replacement, was debuted at the 2015 Dubai Motor Show in late 2015.
Bugatti Veyron Mansory Vivere
The Bugatti Veyron is recognized as one of the most notable supercars of the twenty-first century. When it debuted in 2005, it was the world’s most powerful production car, and after being superseded by the 1,500-hp Chiron, it is still sought for by automobile collectors. Only 270 examples of the original 16.4 Veyron type were built, but for those who wanted to make it even more uncommon, German auto modifying Masonry tweaked a few Veyrons. The Veyron Linea Vivere was one of its most well-known creations.
Only two are known to exist, one of which is available for purchase on James Edition. Aside from its quad turbocharged 8.0-liter W16 engine and one-of-a-kind customisation, what makes this Veyron even more unusual is that it is the third vehicle to leave the factory in 2007. You’d think that would make it incredibly desirable and valuable, but the owner elected to send the supercar to Mansory to make it even more unique. The exterior has a characteristic Mansory Carbon Fiber weave, new carbon front and rear bumpers, and a redesigned bonnet, all finished in Matte White. Daytime running lights, side skirts, and completely forged custom wheels were also installed by Mansory.
Custom Mansory components, hand-stitched leather black and white upholstery that matches the exterior, aluminum pedals, and copious amounts of carbon fiber have all been added to the inside. The Veyron Linea Vivere has yet to be assigned a price, but it goes without saying that you’ll need a lot of cash to purchase it.
Ferrari F60 America
Ferrari is building 10 limited edition Ferrari F60Americas to mark the company’s 60th anniversary in North America. It will be propelled by a 6.3-liter V12 producing 720 horsepower and capable of propelling 10 fortunate Americans from 0 to 62 mph in 3.1 seconds. The F60 has its own individual personality, which is defined by a distinctive diapasen design motif. The car’s front end sports the classic Ferrari single front grille with chrome finish and integrated brake air intakes.
From behind the cabin, carbon-fibre trimmed flying buttresses extend to the rear. A light fabric top may be deployed to seal the ultra-exclusive roadster at speeds up to 70 mph. The driver’s side of the inside is completed in a strong red accent, while the passenger’s side is done in black, giving tribute to historic Ferrari race vehicles. The backrests and middle of the seats have an American flag motif. The Ferrari 60th Anniversary Prancing Horse insignia will be put on the wheelarches and the transmission tunnel within the cabin, and the car will be painted in the iconic Ferrari North American racing team livery.
In commemoration of the 1967 275 GTS4 NART Spider, which Ferrari importer Luigi Chinetti commissioned from Enzo Ferrari for his US clients and of which only 10 examples were manufactured, manufacturing will be limited to only 10 prototypes. The automobile, which has a $2.5 million price tag, was recently presented at a private presentation in California. However, the specimens did not live long on the market, as Ferrari reports that all 10 models have been “spoken for.”
Koenigsegg One:1
The Koenigsegg One:1 is the top-of-the-line variant of the Koenigsegg Agera hypercar, which was introduced at the Geneva Motor Show in March 2014. Apart from the car presented at the Geneva Motor Show, Koenigsegg only constructed six One:1s, all of which have already been sold.
The One:1 takes its name from the 1,360 PS/1,360 kg power-to-weight ratio. The One:1 has 1341 horsepower (1000 kW), making it the “world’s first megacar,” according to Koenigsegg. The One:1 is more track-focused than other versions. An airscoop on the detachable top, a rebuilt front end that provides increased downforce, and a 40 percent reduction in boot capacity are among the improvements.
The engine in the One:1 is a tuned version of the Koenigsegg 5.0L (5,032 cc) twin-turbo V8 engine present in contemporary Koenigsegg cars, delivering 1341 horsepower (1000 kW) at 7,500 rpm and 1011 ftlb (1371 Nm) at 6,000 rpm. A seven-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox with paddle shifters provides power to the rear wheels.
The One:1 can accelerate from zero to sixty miles per hour (0-97 kilometers per hour) in 2.7 seconds, 0-124 miles per hour (0-200 kilometers per hour) in 6.6 seconds, 0-186 miles per hour (0-300 kilometers per hour) in 11.92 seconds, and 0-200 miles per hour (0-322 kilometers per hour) in 14.3 seconds. The One:1 is also capable of a peak speed of 273 mph (440 km/h), making it one of the world’s fastest limited-production automobiles.
Aston Martin One-77
The Aston Martin One-77 debuted at the 2008 Paris Motor Event, albeit it was mostly disguised beneath a “Savile Row fitted skirt” for the duration of the exhibition. It was presented in its entirety at the 2009 Geneva Motor Show, with deliveries commencing in 2011.
The One-77 comprises a complete carbon fiber monocoque chassis, a handmade aluminum body, and a 7.3 L; 446.2 cu in (7,312 cc) DOHC 4 valves per cylinder V12 engine with Variable Valve Timing that generates 559 kW (760 PS; 750 horsepower) at 7,500 rpm and 750 Nm (553 lbft) of torque at 5,000 rpm. When the first car was delivered, Aston Martin claimed that the engine was the world’s most powerful production naturally aspirated engine.
The car is equipped with a 6-speed automated manual transmission and height-adjustable pushrod suspension, as well as dynamic stability control. Pirelli P Zero Corsa tyres (255/35 ZR20 front, 335/30 ZR20 rear) and Carbon Ceramic Matrix brakes are installed to the One-77.
The greatest speed was projected to be 350 km/h (220 mph), although genuine testing in December 2009 indicated a speed of 354.067 km/h (220.007 mph), with a 0–97 km/h (60 mph) acceleration time of roughly 3.5 seconds.
The One-77 was constructed in a restricted quantity of 77 automobiles, thus the name, and sold for GB£1,150,000. One of the 77 autos was involved in a mishap in Hong Kong in May 2012, and it was written off, bringing the total number of cars to 76.
Pagani Huayra
The Pagani Huayra is a rear-mid-engined hypercar with a seven-speed sequential gearbox. The Huayra is powered by a Mercedes-AMG twin-turbo V12 engine derived from the M275 AMG engine used in the Mercedes-Benz SL 65 AMG Black Series. Ferrari LaFerrari
The LaFerrari, the successor to the Enzo Ferrari, was introduced at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show and is Ferrari’s first hybrid production car, boasting the greatest power output of any Ferrari while cutting fuel consumption by 40 percent . The LaFerrari is based on research performed by the Millechilli Project at the University of Modena and findings from testing of the Ferrari FXX. Only 499 units were produced, each costing over a million dollars. Following the August 2016 earthquake in Central Italy, a 500th vehicle was manufactured and sold at a later auction.
The LaFerrari’s engine is a naturally aspirated 6.3 L (6,262 cc; 382.1 cu in) F140 FE V12 with 789 horsepower (588 kW) at 9,000 rpm and 516 ftlb (700 Nm) at 6,750 rpm. A Ferrari-developed HY-KERS unit is coupled to the V12, delivering an extra 161 horsepower (120 kW) and 148 ftlb (200 Nm) (200 Nm).
The diameter and stroke of the engine are 94 mm and 75.2 mm, respectively, with a compression ratio of 13.5:1 and a power-to-weight ratio of 599 hp (447 kW) per tonne, the latter attributable to its maximum power of 950 horsepower (708 kW) and maximum torque of at least 664 ftlb (900 Nm) (900 Nm). The car has a dry weight of 2767 pounds (1255 kilograms), but when fully loaded, it weighs 3495 pounds (1585 kilograms), making it Ferrari’s heaviest mid-engined road car to date. [1]
The LaFerrari’s power is transmitted to the rear wheels utilizing a seven-speed F1 DCT dual-clutch computerized semi-automatic gearbox. In addition, the interior contains a steering wheel that looks a lot like the ones used in current Formula One vehicles.
According to Ferrari, the automobile claims a peak speed of over 217 mph (350 km/h), a 0-60 mph (0-97 km/h) time of less than 3 seconds, a 0-124 mph (0-200 km/h) time of less than seven seconds, and a 0-186 mph (0-300 km/h) duration of less than 15 seconds. With a lap time of 01:19.7, it is currently the quickest Ferrari road vehicle around the company’s Fiorano private test circuit.
The Ferrari FXX K, a track-only variant, was introduced in December 2014, with just 40 vehicles made.
