The HiPhi X SUV, which went on sale in China last year, was the company’s second car. Human Horizons has unveiled a four-door electric grand tourer with a futuristic cabin and sophisticated electronics.

The HiPhi Z is the company’s second production vehicle, after the HiPhi X SUV, which went on sale in China last year. The HiPhi Z is powered by a 120kWh battery pack and has a range of about 705km (438 miles). HiPhi claims the saloon can go from 0 to 62 mph in 3.8 seconds but does not specify a top speed.

The chassis of the HiPhi Z is composed of a five-link system in the rear and an aluminum double-wishbone air suspension up front. It also boasts excellent dynamic vehicle control and rear-wheel steering.

Despite being more than 5036mm long, 2018mm wide, and 1439mm high, Human Horizons claims the HiPhi Z’s steering system provides it with a turning radius comparable to the Mini hatchback.

It features an exterior light curtain that wraps around it, as well as smart doors that identify key fobs, other automobiles, and people.

According to Human Horizons, a rear spoiler that may adjust the amount of drag and lift is also desirable, and this improves performance.

The inside of the HiPhi Z has a “ultra-futuristic, spaceship-like digital set-up” and a cutting-edge artificial intelligence (AI) system called HiPhi Bot, which can tailor the environment for users.

The device also includes a high-speed robotic arm that can “perform a variety of delicate maneuvers with nary a noise” and has control accuracy of up to 0.001mm.

Ambient lighting, a Meridian 23-speaker audio system, bucket racing seats, and an unique in-house created driver assistance system are among the other features.

In addition to stopping, turning, and accelerating, the system features advanced maneuverability, including parking and remote summoning. A combination of 34 sensors and lidar technology is utilized to scan the surroundings around the vehicle.

Human Horizons sells the HiPhi Z for $89,000 to $129,000, however it is unlikely to be accessible in the UK very soon.

The car will make its public debut on July 6 in Shenzhen, China, before touring 11 major cities. The Chengdu Auto Show in August will indicate when it will be available for purchase.
